I started playing this game for the story, nostalgic (for me) arcade shooter gameplay and amazingly designed enemies. The hot gacha women were just a cool side thing for me. However, this is the first skin that actually made me salivate. In my mouth. And opened my wallet.

I was definitely skeptical on a lot of the other $60 skins but I think they’ve figured out what skins the people really want and are probably willing to buy regardless of that $50/60 tag. I’m certain this will probably their most successful gacha skin

If you consider gacha rolls obtained in the pack you're paying closer to $40 for the skin, and around $20 for the 10 advanced gacha rolls and 15 ordinary gacha rolls. Does it still suck? Yeah, but it's not just the skin you get for the price.
If you converted the rolls to gems, then the price for those would be around $80... but I don't think most people are desperate enough to do that.
That aside, now I wondered how Shift Up's Chinese overlord (aka Tencent) has allowed this skin to slip past their usual censorship. Even tho Tencent generally doesn't care about what their subsidiaries are cooking up so long as they made money.
Makes sense, we grow up as people, and then demand the franchises we liked as kids keep up with us. Sometimes we should just let go of things that no longer appeal to us, instead of insisting and carrying on while fed up with them.
They've shown they can do real challenge, though, and most players remember specifically those moments fondly. Everyone remembers being terrorized by Cynthia's competitive level Garchomp, everyone remembers that one hiker with three explosion using geodudes especially the nuzlockers. No one remembers the hundreds of practically nameless trainers that get sweeped in five seconds in-between gyms. I don't think it's asking a lot that the important battles actually have a difficulty appropriate to their importance, even if it still ended up being relatively child friendly.
The real problem with SV is that they didn't even bother to account for players not doing things in the "intended" order, despite the fact it's an open world game. On top of an untogglable EXP share further cutting any challenge that might exist. You're either fighting a trainer well above your level without warning, or you're fighting a trainer with lv10 pokemon because you're doing an "early game" area last without meaning to.
This is by far the most corporate looking Patreon watermark I've ever seen. I'm honestly impressed.

And beyond learning the basics of combat and how element, type of skills and damage vs hit works. Is it really a challenge for a child?
Even with Kanto dificulty curve with a rock gym first and the electricity gym next, the challenge is just grinding and keep fighting your way up. Unless the later Pokemon games got a serious AI upgrade or tracking your team to counter it's attacks, even a first timer will begin to stomp the game after the third gym.

I'm a filthy secondary who read her wiki page, and no matter if she is a loli, a hag, or anything in between. She was written to be such a bitch that I hope Enikk drafts an FTC equivalent in the Nikke-verse. That way, there is an implication that the Nikke-verse has developed their own laws for business practices. As a result, Enikk can make it legally binding to fire & replace Syuen. I read that Missilis going under will screw Arc, so maybe it can operate under a very short-term joint venture between Tetra Line & Elysion until they find a new CEO. That way, the idea of Syuen becoming converted into a Nikke becomes more plausible, causing her to be stressed out, and beg for forgiveness as she slaves for the protagonist's success. Once Syuen finds out Enikk was acting arbitrarily for the sake of "carrot & stick" practices, she is gonna make life hard to say the least.
