Safior is agreeing with you, Dank. The initial Western response was just to make Shinzo Abe memes like everyone else here did at the start, and then a bunch of right-wingers were complaining about how you couldn't have commercials like this in America (which is wrong) and then made up users who were supposedly complaining about the commercial and arguing that it is in fact valid and tradpilled (very likely misinterpreting the Abe memes as critique). So they are basically agreeing with you saying that XTwitter people are having their usual insane reactions, they're just poorly elaborating on it.
You can't tell someone they said something false, and then claim to be agreeing with them, that's not how words work. Safior was very clearly claiming that no one was actually complaining about it, it was just a problem made up by Right Wingers. And there were people that complained about the commercial, it's not made up just because you want to believe it is.

However, do not "THEY" me.
I have no issue with peoples who want specific pronon, except for using plural pronon for individual, it's sound so pretentions.
"Singular They" has been a thing for centuries, "they" is not exclusively plural and never has been. If you grew up speaking English, you have without fail referred to a singular individual with "they" at least once in your life, because that's what you do when you don't know the sex of the person you're referring to. If you didn't grow up speaking it, then don't start telling other people they're using it wrong.
And there were people that complained about the commercial, it's not made up just because you want to believe it is.
If there were, none appeared on my feed. How I described it is how all of this manifested on my feed, and most folks I've talked to about it corroborated my experience. So either no one complained, or so few people complained that it makes the right-wing response even more absurd, because they're overinflating the complaints.
I thought Shinzo Abe became more hated in Japan, a couple months after his assassination due to the public finding out his ties and support for a religious cult that was undermining national affairs in support of their own.
Having heard expats (like Satsujin, a french true crime youtuber who lived over 20 years in Japan) over there about Abe, he is not as hated as western liberals make it to be. The general sentiment of the Japanese youth toward politics is just apathy. Like, whatever vote they cast will ALWAYS be outnumbered by the boomers or their own parents defaulting to the Liberal Democrats party.
Leaving Abe aside, it is generally agreed that Japanese need to change a lot in their work environment and mentality to make it attractive and hopeful to start a family and have children. By mentality, I mean to start take it easy and stop feeling guilty from leaving the workplace when the clock hit the end of the shift. And shit like that.
He may have a point but no one is really going to take the person who decided it was a life goal to draw Peter Griffin with various anime girls for the sake of getting a rise out of people seriously about how they waste their own time.
The original tweet was deleted... Is this perhaps one of the ones they made by tracing over an AI-generated image? The account of the person that accused them of doing so is suspended so I don't know which ones were listed as such.
