IIRC the total of Croix bets collectively was about 6 billion including the "If this happens and Croix wins" kinda bet. So Tabaru kinda indirectly caused the lite version of 12 billion incident.
RIP to that one or two guys who bet 100 million yen on Croix tho.

Meiji imperialists sought to break the siege of Kumamoto Castle. They marched to a narrow mountain road towards Kumamoto, the Tabaruzaka pass.
The Satsuma rebels, led by Saigo Takamori, "the Last Samurai", intercepted them and a bloody battle broke.
Rain fell heavily, rendering the firearms useless.
So the combatants fought in old-fashioned melee.
The battle lasted for seventeen days.

Meisho Samson finished second in the Takarazuka Kinen twice in a row under Ishibashi and Yutaka respectively.
Now, Meisho Tabaru, trained by Mamoru Ishibashi and ridden by Take Yutaka has managed to win the Takarazuka Kinen twice in a row.
This is, without a doubt, the power of horse racing.

To be honest, I couldn't makes heads or tails over either Yoshitaka Matsumoto or Mamoru Ishibashi because neither really matched with my personal reference from when I saw both of them together last Tenno Sho (Autumn)
