The Mongolian horse girls were the archers.

In a more general sense, horse girls formed the cavalries of all ancient armies. It wasn't until WWI that war horse girls started to become obsolete as mechanized units began to take over, though horse girls would still play a key role in logistics and communication up until the very end of WWII. Nowadays, militaries use horse girls mostly in a ceremony role, e.g. leading the troops in parades.

actually, consider the differences between umamusume/horse girls vs. IRL animalistic horses, namely a humanoid appearance, human intelligence & tool use, etc. they are basically humans but stronger
horse girls would stay wayyy longer inside armies for their physical labours (like building/digging fortification) and feats of endurance (they could carry much more supplies and weapons necessary for combat)

If you think about it, in the Uma universe, Genghis Khan must have been an unparalleled gigachad trainer, warlord, and harem master with 1000+ trainees doubling as an elite fighting force that he rewards with umapyoi after successful military campaigns.

Unfortunately these are once again not the same file from the game server. Whatever messed up the transparency on the last ones that had this issue happened again. I've posted the versions from the game server itself.

Yep. Much like Kaga's Kai Ni Go remodel, this is a Fubuki that survived the war and was rearmed by the Americans as part of the new JMSDF.
