The former gets flagged for perceived problems that are only a part of the perspective without somehow ruining the artwork outright, approved, then hastily flagged again by the approver after they were told to do a "quality check" on their own approved posts (forum #130998, forum #131033). The latter gets flagged 4 days after upload for a similar reason as the former, but only on the same day the parent was flagged again.

Given those details and that other images featuring this copyright were flagged during that time period, I'm going to call the intentions behind the flagging into question. Because it should be asked if these were flagged because they were actually totally terrible pictures that should be deleted from general view, or if they were flagged simply because said flagger has a personal issue with seeing any post under the wendy's tag.

The original parent seemed popular enough, as are select other posts under wendy's, divisive meme or otherwise. And nearly every one of those flagged images were reapproved. So I'm not convinced of the idea that these posts, which don't even have much of a presence outside of that one set recently uploaded, are like some malignant tumor on the site.

I don't see any outstanding issue with the foreshortening, personally. As far as I know, some people have the perception that anime-style art for western copyrights by Western artists is somehow western-style, all the while accepting western-style art for western copyrights (Overwatch, among others) by Asian artists.

There don't seem to be any severe proportion issues, but the drawing overall is done sloppily, using thick, even brushstrokes, amateurish hands, and extremely simplistic shading using only sharp shadows. Shading can be simplified, but it should still depict a difference between form and cast shadow.

And just by going over senria's posts, it's not as if this artist exclusively draws Western properties or is even a Western artist at all, after looking at their Pixiv and Twitter accounts.

Well, the original flag still has no mentioning of it being Western (at least, it is nowhere explicitely mentioned). It is really only a quality check and like I said in forum #131139, I can quite good understand why: If she has a back, then it is arched very strong. (It is on the last page and the last comment, and CodeKyuubi posted directly afterwards. So it's high likely it got missed.).

(Obligatory "not an approver, but as a fellow uploader, here's why I wouldn't have uploaded these" disclaimer)

Her chin and hands are really large, and her expression is kind of unnerving. Plus, the way her skirt fills the bottom part of the picture kind of feels like the artist wasn't sure how big to make it

There's very little (or in some places, no) color or shading, which isn't necessarily bad, but it means the line art needs to step up, and it doesn't. Her body takes up a large part of the picture, but it doesn't look like much attention was paid to it. Other than the face and the penis, the rest of the picture is pretty bland.

Are there problems with this image that I'm not seeing?

Looks pretty amateurish all over. Lineart is a bit meh, especially the face and shoulder. Shading is pretty bad. Seems like the artist wanted to go for elaborate shading and failed. Shadows are pure nonsense, as they seem to run along almost all contours but have nothing to do with any kind of possible light source. Most of the image also looks strangely cloudy, which is probably what CodeKyuubi meant with the overused grunge filter, but it’s so coarse that it looks more like an unmoving pattern.

post #2733357 and children/pool - aside from a textless cover having been uploaded and child/parent spam, what was up with it?

Scan quality, doujinshi, unsourced, and not pooled (help:pools)... it's probably on both a matter of relevant content (as doujinshi usually don't make it without the consent of someone willing to translate) and also lack of uploader care, albeit the posts are somewhat well tagged.

Your efforts would be better placated somewhere else -- You are welcome to continue uploading doujinshi but know that the site does not primarily specialize in it, and there are other places better suited to hosting that content if what you upped is a self scan.

It WAS pooled (under "Touhou - Embraced By the Curtain of Night") but the deletions seemed to have unpooled it. Admittedly, I didn't know the author's Danbooru tag until someone linked the parent to the textless version of the cover - it was simply credited as "Jony" in the gallery of the raw scans. (Hadn't had the chance to get on Danbooru until literally an hour ago, and thus correct it)

Haaa... then they shouldn't have parent-child relationships at all (unless some pages are fairly identical to each other). My mistake ^^'

Scan quality, […]

To elaborate on that: I checked post #2733366 and post #2733370 and both aren’t levelled properly and have been mutilated with some kind of filter, probably Topaz Clean. There’s some dust and traces of bleed-through as well.

[…], albeit the posts are somewhat well tagged.

One of the two posts I checked was tagged with shoulder and translation_reuqest... I guess that also falls under what you called “lack of uploader care”.
