Upload Feedback Thread - post here if your uploads keep getting deleted

Forgive my bluntness, but if there is apparent randomness about posts being approved, it likely means the overall quality of art you're posting is at a level where an approval depends on the individual tastes of the approvers reviewing the work. In other words, you need to raise the quality of art you're posting. Don't just upload art that meets the perceived quality standards but exceeds it. Before I got promoted, I uploaded a lot of art by au ito, jimini shijimi, ito yoshi, and others whose art looked visually stunning; I had no issue getting any of that art approved. Art by jimini shijimi in particular was approved quickly, sometimes instantly. I also only uploaded nsfw art sparingly, since it seemed it was harder to get those works approved and I had a lesser understanding of what made such art passable. Once you've found an artist who is getting a lot of approvals, use Pixiv's recommended works feature; it helped me find a lot of good art. I also point you to forum #348811, which guided me when I was starting out here; topic #24186 is a must read as well if you're looking for art to post. Two more points of advice from me: look for art drawn by mangakas, since their art is probably already at a high level for them to hold that job. Also, I've found art used as backgrounds on Pixiv's login screen to be of high quality. While neither of those last two sentences are guarantees since I'm not an approver, they're probably good places to start. Lastly, on your points about contributors, yes, we do have more leeway than the average user, however we're still expected to upload art of good quality. If too many of our posts are flagged for poor quality, we do face peer pressure to raise our standards in the form of DMs and/or feedbacks. Without improvement, we would face demotion and the loss of our unrestricted privileges.

Thank you for your polite and detailed response. Yes I've read topic #24186, and to me it just seems like everyone is overly complicating things (sorry if this comes off as dismissive). I also know about the NSFW bias, so I rarely upload things of the sort. I have over 10 years of images saved so I mostly like to upload images that have been deleted but the preservation aspect doesn't seem to matter. I also like to upload "humorous" images that take knowledge of Japanese or their internet meme culture which also seem to not do well. Some of my uploads will be overlooked only to be approved weeks, sometime years later. It just seems like a decent number of approvers are just consumed by apathy. @Hereinafter seems to be the only approver actually trying.

In the last days there have been few approvers, I just had a post deleted even though it was only reviewed by 6 approvers. "Apathy" isn't the only issue. I can undestand if an approver prioritizes what they like, but I think this limits what a person can post, because if it's not to the approver's liking, it probably won't be approved.

I posted post #9869433 first, a contributor posts an exact pixel duplicate after mines and makes his the parent post while mine is headed for deletion.

That doesn't seem fair at all

The image the contributor posted has a larger file size and is a png, so it's a valid upload and parent. Also, just because your post has gone a day without approval doesn't mean it's going to be deleted. Prior to my promotion, I had a number of posts go a day and a half or two before they got approved; some were even approved shortly before the 3-day limit.
