Have her slip into more casual/childish phrasing and then correct herself. No point in trying to map it directly to altered pronouns, since English doesn't have equivalents in that sense.

I know that in some rural areas of Japan, some couples spend their time this way. Sometimes I envy how tradition creates these kinds of environments. How lucky they are.

Would be funny if said person was revealed and explained why they did that.
Also, sort of related to this, I don't think the crotch plate is for robussy. It literally makes no sense for that to be what's behind it.
Personally I think it's like an access panel for an internal power source, or a storage drawer that can be pulled outwards and have stuff stored in there, since they don't have pockets.
Just my opinion on it.
