create implication evernight_(lurking)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> evernight_(honkai:_star_rail)
create implication dan_heng_(lurking)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> dan_heng_(permansor_terrae)_(honkai:_star_rail)
Guess what comes with every new patch?
Potentially controversial: I didn't put the "(permansor_terrae)" qualifier in the tag name for Dan Heng's costume, since it's unambiguous without it and dan_heng_(permansor_terrae)_(lurking)_(honkai:_star_rail) would be an ugly tag.

I feel like the next step in that conversation is to dequalify Dan Heng. While I am aware of the precedent regarding qualifiers, Honkai: Star Rail has a sizeable roster of characters who use their full name and thus are not qualified, and there are some cases where a character cannot be qualified like Welt Yang (shared from Honkai Impact 3rd where it is standard to use the full name of the character without qualifier unless they have a more common form of address) - and the tags are already getting stupid long.
This seems like one of the cases where it's appropriate to break convention.

There's Dan Heng (Thunderbolt Fantasy) already so I'm not sure if it's alright to do that...

remove alias terravox_(honkai:_star_rail) -> dan_heng_(permansor_terrae)_(honkai:_star_rail)
Correcting yet another mistake.
Back when DHPT's drip was revealed, I had assumed that he'd assume the "Terravox" name that's been mentioned in several story patches up to that point. However, today's resources pre-dl and datamines revealed that we'd be getting the "original" Terravox in his dromas form in the 3.6 story (e.g. the red dragon in post #9920708). In order to free up his chartag to refer to this literal dragon boy, I'm deimplying him from Dan Heng's Permansor Terrae form.

We also have Higuchi Kaede (Swing!!) when the namesake Nijisanji vtuber doesn't have a qualifier. That doesn't mean we can easily set aside the proposal of dequalifying HSR Danny when there's another character on Danbooru with the same name but with less arts.

As I discussed in topic #33053, this is another reason why we shouldn't have three-level implications like this. Just have Dan Heng (Lurking) imply the base Dan Heng (Honkai: Star Rail) tag instead of Dan Heng (Permansor Terrae). Leave Dan Heng (Permansor Terrae) to be for the default outfit for that form.
To my eyes these things are just different outfits for the same guy, yet we're treating them as alternate forms that get outfits of their own, which of course makes things more complicated:
The bulk update request #48142 (forum #388844) has been approved by @evazion.
Wouldn't be the first time: Fugue (Jiaduobao) (Honkai: Star Rail), The Herta (Tea Break) (Honkai: Star Rail).

Herta (Puppet) (Tea Break) (Honkai: Star Rail) also exists so that one definitely can't just be two level.

create implication evernight_(lurking)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> march_7th_(honkai:_star_rail)
create implication dan_heng_(lurking)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> dan_heng_(honkai:_star_rail)
Alternative to BUR #48077, avoiding three-tier hierarchies.

For what it is worth, I disagree and think trying to treat Dan Heng (Permansor Terrae) (and Dan Heng (Imbibitor Lunae)) as strictly outfit tags is going to cause more problems than it solves.
While the distinctions between Imbibitor Lunae and Permansor Terrae are a relatively subtle (hairstyle and color/shape of horns), they are both quite distinct from the "default" Dan Heng form which has no horns or tail, and easily identifiable even in other outfits or completely nude. For Imbibator Lunae, just a few posts that are clearly that form but not in the outfit on the first couple pages: post #9927862 , post #9861585, post #9817499. Permansor Terrae is still new so there aren't many yet beside the "Lurking" outfit in question, but for example post #10013095 and post #9798338.
I expect the result of refusing to imply Dan Heng (Lurking) (Honkai: Star Rail) to Dan Heng (Permansor Terrae) (Honkai: Star Rail) will be people just manually putting both tags on the posts anyway.
It's also worth noting we're almost certainly going to have the same issue with Cyrene (Ripples Of Past Reverie) (Honkai: Star Rail) in the near future.
I think we should create implications for Cyrene's costumes since it still not here
Cyrene (Ripples Of Past Reverie) (Honkai: Star Rail) and Cyrene (Aedes Elysiae) (Honkai: Star Rail) supposed to add to main Cyrene (Honkai: Star Rail) tag

create implication anaxa_(world_tour_2025)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> anaxa_(honkai:_star_rail)
This one has started showing up in fanart. Haven't seen Aglaea's or Hysilens's outfits from the promo art anywhere else yet, so leaving those untagged for now.

create implication the_herta_(the_herta's_magic_kitchen)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> the_herta_(honkai:_star_rail)
Another one of The Herta's outfits.

mass update favgroup:46737 -> cyrene_(ripples_of_past_reverie)_(honkai:_star_rail)
mass update favgroup:46738 -> cyrene_(aedes_elysiae)_(honkai:_star_rail)
mass update cyrene_(honkai:_star_rail) -favgroup:46737 -> cyrene_(aedes_elysiae)_(honkai:_star_rail)
create implication cyrene_(ripples_of_past_reverie)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> cyrene_(honkai:_star_rail)
create implication cyrene_(aedes_elysiae)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> cyrene_(honkai:_star_rail)[...]
Since this seems to be having trouble going through even though it doesn't feel as though it's objectionable compared to other characters' tags, I have a potentially alternate proposal which is that even though they are the same character in different stages of life (in essence), the tags for these characters remain separate. That would mean doing something like:
mass update cyrene_(aedes_elysiae)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> -cyrene_(honkai:_star_rail)
alias cyrene_(aedes_elysiae)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> ripples_of_past_reverie_(honkai:_star_rail)
alias cyrene_(ripples_of_past_reverie)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> cyrene_(honkai:_star_rail)
The first line wouldn't affect dual persona or otherwise posts since I believe a few people already gardened out the whole tags of the favgroups because they were impatient, so the tagging is already there to be able to do this. Then, of course, all new posts have to be actively maintained because this implication doesn't exist which is a complete pain for trying to tag and search for them. I've stopped maintaining the favgroups because I'm not going to keep up with them if it's taking this long to get the implication through. I don't actively upload this copyright or character but I am familiar with it enough to make BURs and update information.
Separating the tagging would force people to use a two-tag search though if they want to find both versions of the character and people who are actually familiar with the copyright may have difficulty finding the non-playable Cyrene's posts, but clearly if there continues to be strife about implication levels just to satisfy non-player taggers and searchers instead of the people who are actually going to search this character, then I'm out of options and I don't know what to say anymore because this is just a source of constant disagreement on what's the right or best way to do this.
I find this farce stupid to be honest but what other option do we have when sensible implications are getting passed up because we have to account for people who are probably not even interested in this search anyway? It's ridiculous to me. Even without familiarity with the copyright, some things can be apparent just by the appearances.

Tbf when the tags were made, it was only so there would be chartags that would be populated using the ones from the favgroups. I handled the 5* version and made a few contribs to the NPC version. Elylover handled the NPC version as thorougly as they could while the 5* version still had a few posts without the tag when they also got to that and appropriately applied them.
Thanks to our efforts, the favgroups might as well have been redundant and their presence in the BUR may have contributed to the admins' hesitance to approve the BUR.
BUR #48676 has been approved by @evazion.
create implication cyrene_(ripples_of_past_reverie)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> cyrene_(honkai:_star_rail)
create implication cyrene_(aedes_elysiae)_(honkai:_star_rail) -> cyrene_(honkai:_star_rail)
I don't like editing BURs that've already been voted on so I'll try again without favgroups since as I already mentioned people have already gone through and gardened the tags, so the remaining gardening to be done is for cyrene_(honkai:_star_rail) -cyrene_*_(honkai:_star_rail). Mass updating could definitely be a factor to it being passed on though as the favgroups have to be checked for accuracy.
If this doesn't work either then I'm at a loss.
