To be honest, I don't like the outfit very much. It feels overdone and cluttered, with too many things going on at once. The bunny-ear antennae with an orbiting crescent moon and random audio jacks look particularly silly.

Wait... this isn't a joke??? This is Rin Penrose's new design???

I mean... it's her prerogative, but seriously, this genuinely seems like a cliché "virtual idol" design that Rin would reveal on April Fools' Day. Is she reinventing her persona or something?

The long and short of the rebrand that she brings up is; 1. When she was with Idol the original Rin was a rush job
2. She was on her way to get a 2nd outfit right before resigning from Idol, so that was scrapped (was going to be a new artist back then too).
3. She drew up plans for her own outfit right after leaving, but felt she couldn't complete it with the artist for language and money reasons.
4. Years later with just the design she was just done with it.
And after that, new design, new artist etc. and we're here

Yeah, that was my initial reaction too. I thought Rinako Bellerose was basically her way of saying she'd never do something like that, so seeing a similar concept being done in earnest a few years later is incredibly jarring. As you said, it's her perogative, but it's still strange regardless.

If that's the case, I genuinely couldn't tell. I think the original design was pretty solid, even if it was made in a short amount of time. Seems odd to cite that as a reason for rebranding, as the design being rushed isn't particularly obvious.

I noticed the fancy nails, but I miss the colored inner two-sided gloves. Neat thing.

I can confirm, the water thigh does have water physics. Redebut video: https://youtu.be/Nw4hFhJDwuw?si=_qLUczfEeVKQk19A

It's less about the design's quality, and more about Rin can't ask as many changes as she wants because 1.0's artist has tighter deadline due to being the second artist hired for the job (the first artist was not making progress, so hired a second one)

Here's the short (6 minutes) horizontal video explaining it titled: What happened to Rin Penrose https://youtu.be/_OQx3tLXWXA?si=Z0w_-0y2nMi1OPFZ

Yo, I'm worried if the artist is likely actually aware that this guy is like an actual school shooter. If the the artist is actually aware, I'm more deeply worried that this artist is one of those kinds of people...

I retract my doubt over this artist. She definitely does worship this school shooter by looking at her tumblr.

I genuinely have no clue where this image comes from. The Pinterest post I used as a source was made in May 2019, which is older than both of the artist's Twitter accounts. It also doesn't seem to be from Tumblr, as their accounts on that site only have posts as far back as 2021. The oldest posts on their Instagram are from 2018, but this image wasn't among them. I tried, but I couldn't find a single version of this on a site other than Pinterest.
