Yes, but the people who actually find the "non-euclidean eldritch being" schitck hot aren't going to turn around and draw it as a conventionally attractive anime girl. I'm pretty sure it might be a combination of r34'ing whatever is popular (mass appeal+engagement) as well as using the character as a sort of "skin" (on-model be damned) to slap on whatever the hell they find 'hot'
