Yes, but the people who actually find the "non-euclidean eldritch being" schitck hot aren't going to turn around and draw it as a conventionally attractive anime girl. I'm pretty sure it might be a combination of r34'ing whatever is popular (mass appeal+engagement) as well as using the character as a sort of "skin" (on-model be damned) to slap on whatever the hell they find 'hot' Coomers genuinely don't care about proportions, they just want to see low quality fetish art because they're brain damaged
