Upload Feedback Thread - post here if your uploads keep getting deleted

Why was this not approved? It has larger size and larger resolution than its parent post.

This is a second-party source. It's artbook 啾啾的奇妙冒险's cover page. You can see more info on its mobile source (https://cp.allcpp.cn/#/mobile/djs/222648) without login.

In addition, I guess it was unapproved because approvers couldn't find the actual source. Please allow me to explain that it actually came from https://imagecdn.allcpp.cn/upload/2020/5/e2139e14-f4b8-411a-bc91-568fccc1bda8.png, 3480x4640 and was replaced by the publisher with the current version (https://imagecdn.allcpp.cn/upload/2022/7/c2dfe1b2-5642-407e-abcf-79d724680e30.png, 300x400) sometime later.

It says I have to artist tag, which I did here, I was mistaken to not do it for the reaction images I shall confess.

There's literally an entire section talking about that.

help:upload#source your upload

Source Your Upload

See help:image_source for a complete help page on how to source your uploads. Sourcing images is especially important on Danbooru for both archiving and tracking purposes.

Sourcing is NOT optional if your upload is not self-provided. Source your uploads as best as you can.

Alright my bad, I was admittedly skimming it, I was still say 2 of them images I uploaded are impossible too source, this was not one of those, I just thought an artist tag was sufficient which was my bad, happens due to me uploading stuff saved on my drives after awhile.

I recently posted this image, and was surprised by its deletion:

I'd like to point out 2 things:
1) The art does not violate any guidelines. Contrary to the moderation comment, anatomy/proportions are fairly realistic, and more realistic than most of the anime-style art that is posted on this website.
2) Quality is good. I just don't think you can reasonably say that the quality is lower than the following pieces of the same character, which have stayed on Danbooru:

Thus, the deletion feels arbitrary and out of place for me.

Thanks for your consideration.

Could I get a response to this please?

1) Art doesn't have to violate any specific site rule or guideline to not get approved. All deletion means is that nobody who looked at it said "yes, that one".
2) Her torso anatomy does look weird, and the art isn't stylized enough to make that not uncanny. Sometimes, aiming for realism hurts rather than helps.
3) Looking at posts from fifteen years ago is not a good guide to what will get approved now.
4) Even if it were, posts are approved on their own merit, without reference to whether they're better or worse than other posts depicting the same character - approvers aren't aiming to make consistent rulings according to predictable guidelines, they're just approving what they think looks good. The mod queue runs on individual people's aesthetic sense; it being arbitrary isn't a bad thing.

All but the third one have somewhat messy renders, and in the first one, Yukari's hair things look a bit unbalanced. Other than that, I think the main problem is the inadequate tagging, but I'm not an Approver, so I couldn't give you much more of an answer than that.

The issues Approvers would have with these posts would be either quality, taste, or both. All four were adequately tagged and properly sourced upon upload, but even if they weren't, a lack of tagging wouldn't affect approval chances much anyway (unless the artist tag and source are missing). There are hundreds of posts approved since a year ago today that have fewer than 9 gentags (with 20 being a recommended minimum). You can search for approver:any gentags:<9 age:<1year (even if you're a basic member) to see for yourself, though the search might time out on you since there's so many results. Tagging should still be done for its own sake, regardless of whether your posts get approved.

Now can I have the art added, I added the source post #7802046

You should appeal it.

EDIT: Also, take a look at the tags I added. It's important to tag your work thoroughly, I hope this gives you an idea of what kind of tags you should be adding to posts.

Isn't this the appeal thread? That's how I got the Lip art added, but, aye I'm not the best at tagging (I had no fucking clue what a Loopy was, hence me not tagging it, I just found this while looking for Medea art awhile back, also by technicality, she's not an elf, she's a nymph, not sure if that matters or not, also also have not seen Dungeon-Meshi hance me not tagging the scene or whathave)

Read help:upload again, there's a section on appeals you missed.
The tagging stuff I mentioned is not essential to getting your post approved, but it is a best practice to tag thoroughly and I'm trying to help you out by showing what tags you could have added to that one.

I've posted several of my own art-pieces here, and other than one singular piece, they all end up in the negatives for votes. Then I look at other pieces posted and see art that didn't take as much time or whatever was accepted and has dozens of upvotes. All I do is try to draw like Murata, and it's a bit disheartening to watch all that I post get rejected and hated.
Why do I get so much hate despite just trying to post my stuff?

It's not hate. Danbooru has very high quality standards compared to other boorus, and is the reason why self-uploading is discouraged. If you just want to post your own art, there are other more suitable sites like Twitter, Pixiv, Deviantart, etc.
