Upload Feedback Thread - post here if your uploads keep getting deleted

Posted under General

Ok, we need to talk about my two most recent posts.
So. First off, post #7790096. Now, I was kind of expecting this one to get deleted, in all honesty? I was just testing the waters, ya know. My question is, was it at least closer to the quality standard than anything prior, and how do you think I can improve?
Now for the post I have issue with: post #7788438. This was another test-of-the-waters post, but not for my art; rather, for a copyright I like. I know it's not bad quality, and the approvers agree. I think it has a chance to pass appealing, but I just want a few second opinions.

Hi, can I ask why this was rejected?

Before uploading art, I would advise to spend at least 1 minute examining it in detail in enlarged mode
1. The hands have an extremely terrible design and this is immediately noticeable
2. If you look at the lower part, you will notice an incomprehensible asymmetrical “depression”. The waist looks slightly broken.
3. General twitchy drawing and serious anatomy problems

If you want advice on how to improve your own art, you should share your art on forums designed for that purpose. You won't get that kind of advice here. The best you'll probably get is that you should spend a few years refining your skills and receiving critique from other artists. If you do that, then maybe your self-uploads will have a better shot.

As for the other post, I won't get into specifics since I'm not an Approver, but most approved art I see has a higher degree of polish. I wouldn't say this looks bad, but it does look a bit rough. But even good art can be skipped over simply because the Approvers aren't into the art style.

Also, don't assume that just because Approvers didn't click the Poor Quality button means they don't believe it's poor quality. The only thing you can know for sure is that they didn't give a reason. And given that 12 Approvers skipped over it, there's a decent chance some of them skipped it over because they thought it was below average.

Hello, could someone help me understand why my post post #7794746 was deleted?
thank you.

I am not an Approver, but I'll give you some advice: Improve your tagging, because your post lacks of proper tags in the first place regardless of its quality. If you have plans to keep uploading, take some time to read The Tagging Manual, because tagging properly your uploads is necessary.

Thank you, this was my first upload and I did have plans to keep uploading. How should I proceed from here? Should I just add a load of tags according to the link you sent and appeal? Or do I need to revise the art itself?

I see you already appealed your upload and you fixed your tagging, so excellent job. For now, you must wait three days until an Approver accepts the appeal to restore your post. I must warn you: Appealing doesn't guarantee getting a post back, as it can fail and your post will remain deleted. Read the How To Appeal manual for more information.

In the meantime, you can continue uploading. Just remember to tag your posts properly, and if you have additional time, read The Upload Rules, it'll save you a lot of trouble.
