Upload Feedback Thread - post here if your uploads keep getting deleted

This advice has been received by other artists in the site: Danbooru is not a place to post your own art, especially if you are a novice willing to learn and improve. This site and community is dedicated to collect high-quality anime style images, and unlike other Boorus or art dedicated sites, we have higher standards and Uploaders have to face Approvers regardless of who the artist is.

This rules can be misunderstood as hate or negativity against artists, and a novice artist could get demotivated by those aforementioned rules and standards here. I strongly suggest you to visit art forums where you can ask directly for advice, and to join communities dedicated to get advice and learn to improve, because you will not find that here.

I've gave it some time to sink in, I'll do my best to improve my art. If it's still not up to standards, I guess I'll have to suck it up that I still need to improve, so yeah, no hard feelings.

I recommend not doing these big lists.

What ends up happening is that the purple names glaze over and maybe post it on the Discord with a scroll emoji and laugh at you. They only help in cases where you ask for feedback on 1-3 things.

Unsure why you have to phrase it in such a weird way. It's a common problem that people just dump huge lists of posts, just using this thread as a free appeal thread. Almost nobody is going to look at these lists. In this case it's actually much better since it's actually sorted with explanations/reasoning. That doesn't change that not too many approvers actively partake in this thread, but if you want actual feedback this is more of a way to do it than just plain lists of posts.

I want to know why they cause problems for approvers, it would help me improve

But you don't know if they cause problems yet, there are some approvers who work backwards through the queue and its not uncommon for stuff to be approved on the last day.

I think the arm on the second one looks bad if you want a non-approver opinion, but someone might still approve it so that opinion holds no weight.

This is my first time attempting to upload an image to Danbooru, so I'm confused about why post #7860217 got deleted. Is it because the image contains character chibi censorship? I believe the overall quality of the image is quite good, aside from the censorship. Additionally, the artist's Pixiv account has not been active for a while, so it's possible that there won't be an better, uncensored version.

i know im supposed to link specific posts but it seems that the large majority of my recent uploads have not been getting approved at all and its really discouraging me from continuing to upload. in the past couple weeks i gained idk, like over 30 deleted posts? before that it took me around half a year to get 40. i don't know what im suddenly doing wrong or whats so bad about what im uploading now. i know i havent appealed any of it yet but appeals dont really seem to work for me anymore like they used to. please just look at my uploads and give me any kind of feedback at all, i enjoy contributing to danbooru so i just wanna know what the issue is

So you're saying that among all art critics, who have different tastes and come from various backgrounds and cultures, every single one would favor your art over the average post here? Sure, okay.

Art critics who do not have a personal preference for the anime style. I absolutely stand by the idea that the vast majority if not all of them would prefer the art I posted to the average art that gets approved here, and they would not have to think twice to make that deliberation. "Subjective" does not invalidate the fact that some art is more expressive, some artists have a better understanding of things like anatomy, some artists are better at expressing different poses and situations, etc. People who make an effort to understand or master a discipline learn things about other people's art that transcend pure opinion.

Help:upload rules is very upfront about what this site is for:

So they should state that instead of making comments about quality that are invalidated by the observable standards revealed by the many pieces of mediocre-or-worse art that stays up. Honesty is what I am suggesting. I'm not sure why that's objectionable.

You also seem to be under the mistaken impression that simpler styles are automatically inferior.

I never suggested that simple is bad. I did imply that "moeblob"-type art is inferior.

Browsing through approver:any realistic will give you an idea of how good your art must be to have a decent chance here.

The art I posted easily exceeds those standards. Some of the art in that group is mediocre and unimpressive (not to mention not even particularly realistic), like this:

Also, to add onto Nacha's earlier statement:

My mistake about this part.

My mistake about this part.

Ok but you're on a site dedicated to anime style art, go somewhere else and post your glorious realism.

Okay, gonna interrupt whatever's going on in here with an apparently stupid question. What info do you guys get with the mod queue? Same thumbnail layout as the rest of the site? Because of nine posts just deleted six had view counts of 8, 7, 7, 7, 6, 6...

Yeah nobody cares about the Skyrim mod OC, that's fine and I respect that, but these things arent even being reviewed.

Unrelated, can I get a third opinion on:

Appealed and dead but I thought the aesthetic and quality were nice.
