Like how most Pilgrims are tales-themed, its quite possible that Crown's Naked King form is a reference to Andersen's Emperor's New Clothes

some of her voice lines talk about her clothing taking the form of however you see them so that's probably right.

I have the same statement here for the neckbeards angry about Lady Kesh as I do for the hypocrites who smugly mock those neckbeard while whining so loudly about Tifa, 2B, Bayonetta, and most recently Eve from Stellar Blade.

It's a fictional character. Why are you getting so upset about lines on a screen?

Because people who aren't even fans are changing things other people like. I mean, I think it's pretty damn reasonable to be upset that tourists are ruining something that brings you joy. Should people just give up on the things they enjoy while other people destroy them just because "it's just lines on a screen"? It's a lot more than that to a lot of people, or they wouldn't be paying money for it, and it's ridiculous that people that don't even fund the hobby can dictate how that hobby operates.

Im also annoyed at people farming this controversy for cloud, i doubt those commentators and influencers even give a shit about Warhammer as well. Funny enough is hard to say how many people are upset for this, but i dont trust WH people from reddit since thats an ecochamber as well.

Nah I call bs on that since before that announcement the fans were praising fanworks of fem and genswap Marines but the moment Warhammer makes fem custodes a real thing suddenly those same people suddenly have a problem. It's just more faux outrage

Which "fans" were you looking at? Lots of people were angry about the push for female space marines, what are you even talking about? You are describing two separate groups as if they're the same people. Everyone I've seen upset about the custodes are the exact same people that argued against female space marines.

"Faux outrage" from the person just blatantly lying about the discourse.

I mean, even if what you say is true, those are separate issues, aren't they? I can look at FANART of a female space marine, and say "That's hot." and still be upset when decades of official lore is arbitrarily changed with a throw away tweet to appease DEI investers. They're not the same thing.

I don't know enough about Warhammer to have a real opinion on this change, but I know people are going to end up focusing on the fans making blatantly sexist arguments and treating them as representative of all of the fans arguing against the change, leaving any nuanced discussion and valid criticism by the wayside. We've seen this many times before.

Having a Riyo Bunyan with emotional expressions other than :> and :<, is quite a spectacle. I shudder to imagine what kind of hell will be unleashed if Riyo Gudako ever goes through the same treatment, with emotional expressions that is.
