Yesterday, we observed numerous "insider leaks" about Zenless Zone Zero across various social media platforms. Upon investigation, we confirmed that the perpetrator obtained our development materials through illegal means, including unreleased character design concept art from our production process. We deeply regret this incident.
Therefore, we have made a decision that goes against our past approach—rather than concealing, we choose to reveal everything openly.
"Virtual Idols (Temporary Name)" Faction
The initial idea for the idol faction came from many members of our development team who hold a deep admiration for idol culture. We believe that a group of positive and optimistic idols, spreading love and dreams through their dedicated performances, is something that can bring strength to people.
Thus, we unanimously decided to launch a brand-new project:
In this dreamy ensemble, there is a lead vocalist who wants to ignite everyone's passion with her voice, a natural-born stage presence who commands the spotlight, and an emotionally sensitive, highly talented creator.
Regarding this new faction's project, we are currently working diligently on it. After completing the final designs for all three idols, we plan to introduce them to everyone through the approach of building real virtual idols.
At that time, the little idols will personally participate in Zenless Zone Zero's livestreams, and we will also launch more related projects such as character songs. We are confident that the little idols will meet everyone in their best condition.
"Sons of Calydon" Faction
Regarding the leaked content about the new faction "Sons of Calydon," some of it represents exploratory attempts during our character design process, and certain elements have already been discarded. However, what we want to tell everyone is that some characters from the Sons of Calydon will make their debut as soon as the upcoming official livestream before the public beta. We have also prepared many surprises, so Proxies, please be sure to pay attention to information about our subsequent official livestreams (please allow us to insert this somewhat ill-timed advertisement).
Whether it's the "Sons of Calydon" or the "Virtual Idols" faction, they are all content that our project team has poured their passion and creativity into, investing much effort and continuing to develop. At this very moment, the project team is still working hard to revise areas where players have reported poor experiences, while also producing more fresh and interesting content. What we also want to say is that the overall completion of the Virtual Idols faction still requires some time. From our perspective, compared to industrialized production, the Zenless Zone Zero project team prefers to craft more refined and unique content through hand-polished methods, even if it takes more time.
Having everyone see the early products of our creation in this manner was never our intention. This is a regret for both us and all Proxies. Finally, facing this endless battle, we still hold beautiful fantasies. The development team's original intention to create surprises will not change, and our mission to ensure all Proxies enjoy the experience will not change.
