In the mines they're obligated to harvest several tons of salt from the tears of users everyday. As to honor this year's April Fools the quotas have been doubled for the next several weeks.
There's around 1,900 alternate_hair_length posts, but the way the tag list was cut off makes it seem like there's only one. Though the way hashtag-only_commentary is cut off almost gives it away.
As a reminder to new members, anyone with an account can help clear out deprecated tags. It's a good way to make progress toward reaching Builder rank. Just make sure you check the tag's wiki first before removing them; some tags may need to be replaced with other tags. For example, you should replace alternate_hair_length with alternate_hair_length_(shorter) or alternate_hair_length_(longer) depending on the character and the image.

So that's why this year's April Fools seemed calmer than usual. It all got pushed upstairs.
