I normally wouldn't consider appealing these, particularly since they already went through the appeal process for not getting enough looks the first time, but they are part of a sequence where the first two posts were approved and they don't seem noticeably lower quality than the first two to my eye. Is it worth a second appeal on those grounds, or is that just a waste of everyone's time?

Well... I literally cannot say anything after that, or what happens after, other than thanks for reviewing my posts, and sorry for being a constant nuisance. I'll try and improve both my uploads and my conduct so I can stop being so much trouble.

I don't understand. It even has 59 score and 57 favorites. So despite that, just because some 5 random approvers didn't like it, it gets deleted? What puts their opinion above those 59 people who liked it?

Pretty much that voting users don't care about quality when upvoting. Over 100 people can upvote the ugliest image, it doesn't make the image better.
Anyway, i like the image, but I dislike the animation.

The process has flaws but it's what has worked for the board for this long. Their opinion is 'above' because they have proven themselves to be worthy of being an approver. The board absolutely needs quality control of some kind and this is the process. Yeah it can be frustrating but it's part of uploading to Danbooru which no one is forced to do. Also there are very obvious reasons why score has never played into approval of images. A non-small portion of the userbase is incredibly skewed towards particular tastes and while that's fine, it shouldn't be and isn't a deciding factor in what gets approved.

This is why the appeal system exists. So that non-approvers can have a chance at some input. I've noticed some people in this thread seem almost averse to appealing but still upset at their lack of agency. I get it takes upload slots but if you believe in an image enough to be truly upset at its deletion, it is an option. You are promised nothing, but it is there.

I think most of these could clear, pending appeals. #8198803 should include a mention that it is a .png version of the previous image. #8201377 is fine and should be appealed. #8201430 -- I'll be honest, this one looks a bit wonky. The hips and chest feel a little odd to me. I think it might be fine on appeal, but this is a very borderline case. #8200765 -- this one looks a bit rough in the line work but I think it could pass on appeal.

I find it does help to add a little note why you think it is worth reconsidering. It doesn't need to be long but I do think these message are considered on reevaluation.
