Uploading appears to be stuck at testbooru. I've uploaded a post, it said "This upload is being processed. Please wait a few seconds." and after waiting for 30+ minutes nothing has changed.

^ the reason might be because your account is just 8 hours old in the testbooru. we have to wait for a week to use the full capabilities of an ordinary member.

Perhaps, but then how are we supposed to test the new booru if there are no images uploaded and we, ordinary members, can't add them either.

And by the way, the font at testbooru is too big, considerably larger than here. Rather inconvenient in my opinion.

^ the temporary disability is still part of the testing (i think) because it simulates the 1-week grace period. however only higher level users like the admin can initiate the upload for now. the earliest ordinary members still have about 3 more days. but you may start exploring other functions.

If the current danbooru is going to be directly ported to the new codebase it's just as important to test that the one-week delay works properly as it is to test issues seasoned members won't encounter. If you're stuck in the grace period use the time to verify you can't do things you shouldn't be able to do during the first week.

If it is indeed a lockout issue it is odd that they stay in pending.

Also only albert is elevated above regular users on db2.

I seem to be getting a CSS error when I try to access Testbooru. Has this been a problem for anyone else, or is it just my blasphemous use of Chromium that's causing the malfunction?

The CSS bug is fixed.

Are tagtypes not implemented or has nobody set one?

Also 20 tags/page instead of 50 is mildly annoying unless it is the optimal number for processing purposes.

I've tried using prefixes both to change the type of a tag on an existing post and to set the type of a new tag on upload. In neither case did the tags become color-coded. The prefixes did not become independent tags and were not included in the prefixed tags.

I also noticed that on Testbooru there is no drop-down box for tag types on the tag search page, just an anything-goes "Category" text box. Putting something in that box (e.g. "artist", "character", "hurr") has given me zero hits for every search I've tried (except when the "Name" box was empty, producing a list of all tags). Searching with the "Category" field empty has worked as expected.

I've deployed an experimental change that offers better integration with Pixa/Tinami/Nico Seiga. It requires a new bookmarklet however:

I may decide to backport this to Danbooru 1.x since it's mostly new code and I think would be immediately useful, especially considering Nico Seiga's new R-15 support.

So if I want to make an artist tag, I have to wait until that artist has 10 posts? Or frivolously add it to 10 posts, change the type, then remove the frivolous edits? (If it's possible to create a new tag for any given type, let's say another user already created it as a general type.)

What is the point of that rule?

You have two options really. Post 10 things of the same thing properly tagged or don't give a shit because it's a testbooru. Personally I would go with the latter but YMMV.

There's nothing in that ticket that says this won't be in the final release, too. There might not be 10 posts of the same thing (be it of a particular artist or something else), or maybe I don't want to upload more of that "thing" just to get the typing correct. The restriction is a pain in the ass and I don't see the benefit of it.

^ it seems the privileged status is still required. there's an 11-post tag already yet a normal user still can't retype it.

EDIT: and btw, are you using the same username in the testbooru? i tried clicking the number of your uploads (2) in your profile but the result of uploader:Michael_Fesser is "Nobody here but us chickens!" am i the only one experiencing this? strange.

He apparently fixed "copy:touhou" adding both "copy:" and "touhou" to the tag list.

They were uploaded when the upload bug was still active. IT might be a result of that.
