The shading has been "oily" as far back as 2021, see post #4654318.

I rarely see the orange glow in the transition from midtone to shadow done by human artists as opposed to AI. That's where the AI oiliness differs from the kind of human-looking "oily" shading in 2021.
Quick check on mashiro www. They got a post from early on with the ai-gen tag and although the subsequent posts are untagged, they align with the "look".
Can anyone give a quick check on preview (preview0)? A Japanese user on Twitter is accusing them of (allegedly) using AI despite the 'AI🚫' indicator.

Yeah, can't tell if ai-generated or ai-assisted but for example the hair is a big tell.
I think some early posts might be human though.

hara_(harayutaka) also has "the look" but he also has a decade of art behind his name. What do we think? The speed at which he produces new works is also troublesome.
The artist preview was recently called out for using AI so all of their works on the site should probably be evaluated. The one mentioned in the post definitely looks as such, too.
Edit: Never mind i JUST saw the post about them as soon as i posted this. Should probably still review their other works though.
artist #558003 and asset #30648918 I came across this artist just a bit ago, and I think their art is ok but the left arm in the linked asset is giving me second thoughts. I could use a second opinion.

Genuinely the only thing you are contributing to this forum is randomly accusing artists of AI based entirely on vibes or because you think they're drawing too fast. Do you have any sound argument at all why you think this might be AI except "the look"?
It's no wonder the majority of approvers don't bother checking the forum anymore when people like you treat this like a hunt and you just want a new trophy on the wall.

Touch grass and fuck off. I ask a lot because I'm moderating forums where hundreds of new posts are coming every day. I want to stay on top of who is and isn't using ai and many artists have switched over to using ai.
Something feels off about post #9745764 that I can't put my finger on it, at the very least, it looks to me like they had a body template ready, and then put Hoshimachi Suisei's head on top of it.
Looking around, I found that post #9115782 has the exact same template as post #9745764.
Edit: on a second thought, perhaps this isn't ai-generated, but this does seem kind of lazy... Plus it's kinda crazy that they're still charging for more of this Suisei even though it's a derivative work.
