no need to out yourself
There are ads, though not nearly as bad as what Freshblink is claiming. I never encountered any malware popups wither. There's a one-time page redirect and some extremely NSFW banners, which is annoying, but seems to be fairly standard. Of course, this makes SFW browsing impossible, though most of the people that want Gold here probably don't care about that. It's still a problem for those that just want to see softcore content, though.
This is an exceedingly bleak situation. What is so ungodly difficult about fixing it? Why do you guys still do platinum raffles regardless? If it’s so difficult to fix, I honestly feel it’s easier to remove gold and platinum statuses entirely! Nothing’s feasible for someone with such negative thoughts as myself.

There are many active accounts who paid for the gold or platinum levels while that was still possible, so that's really not an option. As for why it's no longer possible, that has been discussed many times in this thread already.
Never seen anyone mention that saved searches don't have a 2-tag limit, I used them extensively before getting promoted. Although it's limited to the first 1000 results but if there's common enough tags you have blacklisted you can -subtract them in all your saved searches to maximize how many of the 1000 results are what you want to see. Hopefully I'm not sharing some forbidden knowledge or that this leads to it getting restricted but this should alleviate some frustration with search limits.
