It's just a padding tag based on a German term for (WWII-era) armored car . Also, the romanization is incorrect, where it should've been Leichter_Panzerspaehwagen, where ä -> ae. This is like BTR 2.0 (previous topic #25954).
I think it doesn't worth becoming an alias.
Edit: Changed into scout_car since on here armored car is for the civilian cars with improvised armor according to the wiki. The Sd. Kfz. 222 is one of the prime examples.
