Last attempt at this was in topic #30192, and NNT responded thusly, calling in mind topic #19866, which he also mentioned in forum #432159;
Posts like post #11224376 and post #10912294 would be left without a chartag, just as it would've been the case for something like Miqo'te without Warrior of Light (FF14).
I think with TL:LTD, I'd have to disagree with the take of them being closer to a player character, as now there's tons and tons of posts that are just existing characters as Miis. We have tags for named Miis and the classes of the Mii Fighter already, and I don't think it's necessary for every post to have a character tag. In the examples you mentioned, neither of these are a defined, existing character, and they certainly aren't the same character. They're original characters, definitionally, and most posts with OCs do not have any chartags at all.
The only case I can think of where this would really matter is generic Miis, but looking at the cases where they pop up: Miitopia has character tags for its classes (which I created), the default Mii (post #11230109) could reasonably be tagged "default_mii_(nintendo)" (he has a tag too, it's Guest C (Mii)), and others would still be findable regardless since all this does is change where the tag is in the list.
