Created and populated tags for UFO and EU as they look completly different and shouldn't share a tag (there was exactly one piece of TFTD art so did it too lol). As for the Aliases outside of America the game is called UFO Enemy Unknown and EW is an expansion to EU.

Frankly I should have done this before but just assumed there wasn't any classic art on here, when ironically there's more of it then art of EU lmao.
Why the "_(series)" qualifer? forum #372390 already uses x-com as the umbrella, don't make unnecessary changes.
Fair point, I was thinking as it's now strictly a series parent tag rather then the tag for 2 of the games but ultimately if they're all implied it doesn't matter, I'll change it now.

The series already has a parent tag: X-COM. None of these new tags are helpful or useful, because the vast majority of new art is for XCOM 2. We literally just went over this, why are you trying to re-litigate something that was already decided?

The argument you posed was it wasn’t worth going through the effort, I felt like going through the effort, it’s really that simple lol, I fail to see the issue.

They never said that? Either way I'm not sure why you didn't just attach this BUR to that topic aside from trying to distance yourself from counterarguments.

It’s a different BUR, that’s really it, and given I went through the trouble of doing it I fail to see the issue, check the tags, UFO looks completely different then EU. If Dune Part 1 and Dune Part 2, which are 2 halves of the same movie get 2 tags EU and UFO 1000% should
Edit: By “looks completely different” I mean aesthetically OFC, not in fidelity.

I don't really understand this argument, unless you're suggesting that people search for both pre- and post-reboot art by using x-com -xcom_2.

Yes, that's exactly what was decided in the first thread, literally hours before OP created this second thread on the same topic. To quote myself in that first thread forum #372437:
Looking through, there's only 4 posts that are very clearly the reboot version, but not applicable under XCom 2 or Chimera tags: post #3160392, post #2699464, post #8542587, and post #1843153. We could create an xcom_(reboot) tag for them, which would cover them, but most new art under the X-Com tag that relates to the reboot would be tagged XCom 2 anyway, so a reboot tag would be mostly a duplicate for XCom 2.
As to a tag for Classic, most of the art that isn't of the game box itself (e.g. post #3410083 and post #3988745) can be applicable to both the reboot and the classic versions. We just know that the posts quoted above would have had to be the classic version due to the simple fact that they came out before the reboots were made. Most of the enemies are still the same, the reaction to said enemies is still the same (post #1287019), and so on.
As you've pointed out, this BUR is doing three implications and two aliases for what could be a simple two-tag search. Hence why it makes more sense to nuke, alias, or just garden these tags back into X-COM.
The main problem with this argument is that the reboot and the original games are effectively two different franchises. Even the enemy aliens are completely different, and the only thing they share is the names.
Look at x-com -xcom_2: a good part of it is nu-xcom viper porn. If I want to search specifically for the old games, after your BUR I'd have to do x-com -xcom_2 -xcom:_chimera_squad -xcom:_enemy_unknown, and even that doesn't filter out things like post #4576725. Which granted, isn't a big problem because there's only two pages of result, but then again we don't do that for any other franchise, so I don't see why we should do it now, especially given how different the stuff you're trying to lump together without a more specific tag is.

I'd be fine with creating an "x-com (classic)" tag for those who want specifically to look for the pre-reboot games. My issue with the present BUR is that it introduces an extreme amount of granularity and a bunch of tags that are extremely unlikely to hit even fifteen posts, considering most new X-COM art would be for XCOM 2.
