I think the qualifier was added under the assumption that he's an original character, but since he was made by the creator of Clinical Trial, calling him an OC would not be correct. Also changed his girlfriend's name to her full name to make it less ambiguous and avoid needing another qualifier.

I think that character appearing in Clinical Trial is supposed to be a cameo and she's just one of the creator's other characters is the thing? And I don't think the bf appears.

That's just what I've gathered and it could be wrong though.
