Sometimes the issues are spelling and not grammar, though.
Would bad english text be more suitable?
I agree with the latter alias. Albeit first making the adjustment that kittey pointed out and changing it to poor_language or broken_language. Considering the top search result for 'ranguage' is a tv tropes article it's more of an esoteric term and not self-evident enough. I'd go as far as saying that it's somewhat discriminatory but that's beyond the case here. Another issue however is the fact that it's an umbrella tag in which the name describes just one case of poor language aptitude (japanese -> english).
Engrish is fine as it's a widespread term.

While we're here, could we dealias faux greek from ranguage? It sets the precedent that stuff like font swaps, i.e. post #1083875 and post #625790, count under ranguage despite the fact that it isn't ranguage at all, but rather just faux text.
I prefer keeping "engrish" for such instances but I'm more amenable to changing "ranguage" since the Gratuitous Language trope isn't exclusive to Japanese characters trying their diction on English, rather it is applicable to any language and the term "ranguage" still implies "engrish".
I have always disliked 'Engrish' etc., certainly not from vile political correctness, but because it is condescending and impolite. 'Ranguage' is not as bad, but still...
After all, these people are doing their best and most people shall make mistakes in a foreign language. And no-one would point out another person's grammatical mistakes or misspeakings in real life.
How about something like 'Different English' as a non-judgemental indication things are awry ? With an explanation in its wiki that this applies when the artists have, understandably, made minor errors.

Bump.
Should we...
remove alias nihawngo -> ranguageremove alias faux_finnish -> ranguageremove alias gelman -> ranguageremove alias ratin -> ranguageremove alias flench -> ranguage...as well?
No, the other follow the engrish format.
The faux finnish alias should be removed though.
