I feel like I'm watching Scarlet O'Hara slaps her younger sister after she throws a tantrum and claims she hates the family farm because she has to work while Scarlet had to cross a frontline and avoid raiders to get home. It's nice that Marcille realized staring is baaad, but hitting someone in the face with a blunt weapon is still an attack. If that was in my party in D&D, you can be sure the sword would come out of the sheath and Marcille's player would be rerolling a new character, hopefully without the misandrism.
