I think the pair in the bottom right are just old designs that the artist didn't want to scrap entirely; Bernkastel made perfect sense as the Hermit (and still does, to a very loose extent, in the sense that she went on a 'journey', i.e. Higurashi, and came back with incredible knowledge) prior to the events of Chiru. Bernkastel is definitely all about the things Death represents by the time of Dawn, though.
Jessica and Kanon would still be acceptable as the Lovers, but I think Kanon's role is played way better in the Wheel of Fortune.
I don't know about Auaurora in the place of the Hermit, though... she's virtually the meta-version of the meta-world, or something. Meta-ception. There's no 'journey' here, just blowing up Lambda.

Definitely old designs. The artist made an incomplete drawing of several Arcana at the end of Alliance that can be still seen on pixiv. At this point of time, Bernkastel was a perfect Hermit and Jessica/Kanon represented the Lovers. Then Chiru happened.

On the contrary. The Hermit arcana represent a position detached from the world, spiritual, and secret knowledges and mysteries. I think you are mistaking it with the Fool Arcana, representing commonly a journey.
