Lion is the 19-year-old androgynous adoptive child of Krauss and Natsuhi, and older sibling of Jessica who only exists in an alternate world shown in Requiem of the golden witch. Lion is the first in line of succession to the headship of the Ushiromiya family. Teams up with Willard H. Wright to solve the mystery set down by Bernkastel.
Bernkastel has stated that Lion's existence is an almost impossible chance; in every other timeline, Natsuhi shoved an infant Lion and the servant carrying them off a cliff. Even though they survived, various other circumstances in the other timelines resulted in the character Sayo Yasuda. This also makes them a product of incest between Ushiromiya Kinzou and Kuwadorian Beatrice.
It has been all but been confirmed that Lion's true gender is male, making them a bishounen and/or trap.
