Well what do you expect the IDF to do? Hamas are using civilians as shields while using hospitals and schools at launch points for their rockets. It’s a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation- wither you refuse to destroy the launch sites to avoid civilian casualties thus allowing Hamas to bomb your countrymen, or you do bomb the sites thus saving your countrymen but killing civilians in the process.

So first of all countless deaths and untold destruction were wrought without any justifiable target anywhere nearby. They just kind of handwave it as there being something, somewhere, that they had to destroy while demolishing entire city blocks. Once it was because the building had a camera on it that they decided was a Hamas camera. 20 people dead and a hospital unable to help the people in the city ever again because 'there was a camera.'
But the distance from reality aside, it's still absolutely crazy to say. What do I expect them to do? Be better than terrorists. Do more to preserve life than psychotic killers. To not parade about on social media with videos of themselves yukking it up while breaking into homes to steal, destroy things, or mock women and children.
If a police officer went into a hostage situation where the perpetrator was using a human shield, and just, immediately, gunned down the hostage along with the perpetrator while shouting "HEADSHOT" at the top of his lungs, I'd think he's a fucking lunatic. Being put in that situation isn't justification to do whatever you want all the time every time. There's got to be a line where you say the cost of innocent life is too much, but that line NEVER comes for this conflict. Whenever and whatever they want to do they do it and then justify it later.
