What the Hell does she mean by "violating the sanctity of the pool"? Oh what, is it because she had sex with a man? And heterosex, which God created, is unholy and evil? Is that it? The pool has been corrupted by Satanas? Even if we were to accept this heresy as true (spoilers, it fucking isn't), esta maldita stands just as guilty of the crime she accuses Taro of. Because she fucking gave into it and continued it.

But now that she's done having her fun, she's too proud to admit she enjoyed every second of this little game, so her solution to the problem is to pass herself off as a victim by making Taro look like a rapist. Freaking man-hating witch.

I don’t know what was wrong with you a year ago, but I hope you’ve recovered or are recovering, my friend.

Probably a version edited for tv.

Apparently, they used a blank sign for that shot since they were actually shooting in Harlem and didn't want what happened in the scene to happen for real. Both versions of the message were then added with CGI, though it's much more obvious with the clean version. As Simon turns, you can see the "I hate everybody" message seemingly appear from nowhere. The I also doesn't have the top and bottom bars, even though the sign used later in the scene looks almost identical to the film sign. I suspect that in the later shots such as when the knife is thrown, the sign had actual words written on it without the slur (you can only see the I in those shots, and it looks like it's a bit farther down the sign than in the full-view shot.

Also, I agree with the sentiments online that replacing the slur to make the message apply to everyone makes the anger of the attackers seem unjustified and actually makes the scene seem more racist as a result.

Clips of the scene for comparison:

The kind that gets fired somehow from a full metal bow?
Jokes aside, yes, those kind of arrowheads exists and was probably meant to sacrifice penetrating power for dealing more cutting/bleeding wound.

As bonus, the reverse also exists.

Why not just use a broadhead instead? Better penetration, and still get embedded in the wound, enough to cause bleeding.
Through it does look cool, and maybe it's all that matters since it's just a drawing.
