For those who don't get it "Pan" means Bread in Spanish.
The author probably intended it to be bread in Japanese, as bread in Japanese is パン romanized as "pan."
You are half correct because "pan" is rooted in Latin in both cases of Spanish and Japanese, though it came to Japan through Portuguese, but the Portuguese word for bread doesn't sound like "pan" to me so idk.
Would this technically be a case of Voice_actor_connection since the original voice actor for Gihren also did Souther in the original HNK anime? Edit: i will tag it as such, since it seems the tweet this is sourced from is aware of the connection.
