Main character of the Death Note anime and manga series. Light is a highly intelligent high school student who gets his hands on a Death Note dropped into the human world by a shinigami, and decides to use it to change the world, becoming the vigilante killer known as "Kira" and coming into conflict with both the law enforcement of the world and the mysterious detective known only as L.
He is quite known for his 'Just as Planned' look and 'The God of the New World' expression which gained meme status.
