An enigmatic genius detective and rival of the main character Yagami Light in the Death Note manga and anime series.

He is a pale young man with messy black hair and empty black eyes with bags under them. He likes sweets and is known to sit in bizarre positions.

He assumes various aliases to protect his identity, including the name "Ryuzaki" for most of the series. His real name is L Lawliet.
