vaulted ceiling

ボールト かまぼこ型天井 ヴォールト天井 ボールト天井

A vaulted ceiling is an architectural term for arched formations used to hold up a ceiling. Historically, they were made of stone and used to hold ceilings up in large stone structures (such as churches and castles). Will likely also be a high ceiling, but vaulted ceilings were also used in crypts and lower parts of castles with regular ceiling heights so as to support the upper structure.
