tangaroa (housamo)
The Great Creator, Tangaroa, created an island world out of his own body, drawing from his own flesh and blood to bring life to its soil, foliage, and even the surrounding sky. Slightly overprotective, he longs for the happiness of all living creatures on his island, guiding them as a father and welcoming even visitors as his own children. Though the creation of his island used up most of his original flesh, he retains form as a Staff, a Sacred Artifact comprised of his few remaining bones. Only a chosen warrior of the island tribe may possess the Staff, which imbues its wielder with Tangaroa's memories, designating the wielder an incarnation of the Great Creator, and thus, leader of the tribe.
