Kido Shinji is the protagonist of Kamen Rider Ryuki and the one who transforms into Kamen Rider Ryuki.
He is the apprentice reporter working for ORE Journal, a mobile online news distribution company.
He is considered an idiot, for better or worse. However, he has a strong sense of justice, and not only tries to protect publics from Mirror Monsters, but also works hard to stop the conflict between the Kamen Riders.

He is portrayed by Takamasa Suga.
