Francis, who appears after Golconde and Decalcomanie are shot, is based on the Irish-born British figurative painter Francis Bacon. His artworks often revolved around existentialism, and is regarded as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.
Francis' portrait ingame is likely based on Head VI, the final painting of Bacon's six panel "1949 Head" series.
