An inside joke for Elden Ring players to refer to any wild animal in the game as a "dog". Especially turtles, due to being nearly immobile and thus likely to stay near any messages left near them.

The criteria for what can and what cannot be considered a "dog" are somewhat vague. Usually it is restricted to mundane, non-hostile quadrupeds, but some players include dragons.
