Caesarean section, also known as a C-section, is a surgery to incision on the mother's stomach and uterus to deliver one or more babies rather than giving birth vaginally traditionally. It may be done for a multitude of reasons such as when the mother naturally has a narrow pelvis, the fetus's head is too large, fetal distress, or done in emergency.
