1-up mushroom
A power-up from the the Mario series that first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 1 and almost every main game since. They are usually quite rare and can be found in hidden blocks or risky areas. They give the player an extra life when collected.
They are depicted as a green mushroom with white spots and black eyes, appearing identical to a super mushroom, which is red.
