Testosterone is a male sex hormone and a form of androgen. It is found in both sexes but predominantly in men due to the testicles while small amounts are produced in the ovaries and adrenal glands.
It is responsible for inducing facial hair, body hair, deeper voice, muscle mass, among many other male secondary sex characteristics.
