A belt-fed machine gun manufactured by SIG Sauer, chambered for .338 Norma Magnum cartridge. It was intended to bridge the firepower gap between the 7.62x51mm NATO general-purpose machine gun and the heavier Browning M2.
The SIG Sauer MG 338 features a quick-change barrel, an AR-15-style adjustable folding stock, and usually seen with a proprietary suppressor.
