A type of chocobo in the Final Fantasy series. The first red chocobo in the series was Sakaguchi Hironobu in Final Fantasy IV. Their first proper appearance was Final Fantasy Tactics as the superior unit to yellow and black chocobos, being able to summon meteors, and an especially fearsome foe at Level 99 (possible because the game feature's level scaling). Final Fantasy XII features an enemy named "Lv.99 Red Chocobo" in reference to this.
