Kim is a world taekwondo champion, an honorable fighter with a strong sense of justice who will exterminate any evil that gets in his way. He is friends with most of the Fatal Fury/King of Fighters roster and a family man, happily married with two sons.
In KOF, he started the "Project Kim" rehabilitation program to lead evildoers back on the righteous path, and his guinea pigs were Chang Koehan and Choi Bounge.
