The "Tanuki Youkai with Ten Transformations". Extra Stage boss of Touhou's Ten Desires. She's also the semi-final boss (and a playable character) in Hopeless Masquerade and a playable character in Urban Legend in Limbo.
She is modeled after Danzaburou Danuki of Sado Island, one of the three most famous tanuki alongside Hage Danuki of Yashima and Shibaemon Tanuki of Awaji Island.
As Mamizou's official profile states that she dislikes foxes, she is considered an enemy of Yakumo Ran. However, she is good friends with Houjuu Nue. Her special skill is to disguise a thing's appearance, and she can also disguise her own. She uses a human disguise in Forbidden Scrollery. In Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost, she accidentally got recruited into Gouyoku Alliance by Toutetsu Yuuma.
She has short brown hair with raccoon ears and a large raccoon tail. She wears a leaf on her head, round pince-nez glasses with black frames, a brown shirt with short sleeves, a brown skirt, and brown okobo. Often has a kiseru and a jug of sake.
