That would have missed the point that she's doing it on purpose because she's blatantly trying to get the main character to fulfill her "rape" fantasies. (For however ethically dubious it is to spread a notion that some girls want to be raped...)
In this case it wouldn't be rape since she's not even just consenting, she's prompting, so it'd be more like wanting to be dominated... which I'm sure you're familiar with as being a not unusual fetish.

Maybe it would be better to describe it as something like "rape play" then, where she's in love with the fantasy of being "raped", when it's really just submissive/dominant stuff.
Anyway, it's probably not the best thing to go around spreading the notion that girls secretly want abuse or even rape if they're acting standoffish.

I can't speak for how "in-character" this is with regards to the original light novels, but the theme you mention does appear to explain post #799403, post #844641, post #914852, and post #793084, all by the same artist.
Still, if the situation unfolded like I said above (with the addition of her obi getting stuck on something outside as the elevator/train moves), then Ayase would be in a real pinch--either she resists getting "spun" and gets slammed into the door, or get "spun" and be stuck with what is essentially a thin bathrobe with nothing but her own hands to hold it closed.
