This topic is the appropriate place to ask that now since ideally this topic should only be for requests that need admin approval, want a second review by someone else or requests by members who can't accept artist BURs (though it'll take a while for everyone to fully adapt and move over since there's still some leftover self-approved requests happening).

I don't see a link from a cursory glance though. @CS2648 Could you explain how you determined these two were the same artist? Given that you added Cheshi's links to 96Mako's.

Ohh...I don't recall the exact circumstances under which I added this link at that time, but I have an impression that there was a reason for it; it could also have been an error on my part.​

I'm leaving it at a downvote. And even if hypothetically, it should be qualified, a full name definitely should not be the qualifier. So the alias is bad if it needed disambiguation, the alias is bad because they use their full name as their main name and the alias is bad because we should not be qualifying for the sake of qualifying. A full name takes precedence over the handle unless the full name is not their primary alias.

As I said earlier, there is a reason: the artist very likely wants to be referred to by both aliases. This isn’t about making exceptions, I’m doing it because I ran into this specific case but if I come across a similar case in the future, I’d do the same for that artist to be fair.

You say the full name takes precedence over the handle, but from what I’ve seen that isn’t necessarily so; the artist goes by both. (In a post I uploaded recently the artist even signs as “ninesicks.”) What I’m trying to do is simply make it easier for Danbooru users to find this artist’s work at a glance.

You also argue that the alias is wrong because it uses the full name “nathaniel_himawan” but you haven’t offered a solution or an alternative BUR (bulk update request).

There's no need to make this more complicated than it needs to be; I've repeated myself multiple times by now. Multiple artists go by multiple names, even frequently, and we don't shove them in the artist tag name or qualify tags for the sake of being qualified. Junsuina Fujunbutsu isn't Junsuina Fujunbutsu (parang9494) just because "parang9494" is the handle they commonly use to equal presence as their full name.

I've already offered my stance here: don't qualify tags for the sake of qualifying them, and use Other Names if you want an artist to be known by a different name and have their work findable because those names show up in artist search. Don't strive to shove everything into the tag name or aliases. I don't need to offer an alternate BUR because there is no alternative to be offered here. I'm keeping my vote at a downvote because your reason is bad. Qualifiers aren't meant to be randomly applied to tags. The current tag is fine as it is.

Was looking around and found https://bsky.app/profile/mameojitan.bsky.social where I noticed he posted a couple pictures, 9526237
and a cropped version of 9526189, posted by 4oji344 alonside a few text posts about the game, so by that and the "oji" in both usernames I asume they're the same artist.

The connecting pictures would do it, but you probably wouldn't get away if it was just about the "oji" part of the name when there's about 110+ pages of artists with that.
