Peach and Rosalina as sisters

In The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Rosalina was revealed to be the older sister of Princess Peach. The canonicity of this movie to the actual games is extremely dubious, but despite that, a number of posts depicting the two of them have been tagged as sisters, most by @Evol_Lanrete, even those that have nothing to do with the movie, and some that were drawn well before the movie was even inceived.

I think it would be reasonable if Rosalina and Peach are tagged as sisters only if the work involves or mentions the movie, or if the work or the metadata implies that they are related. Before I write this into law in Rosalina's wiki page and clean up the posts, are there any arguments to the contrary?

This might be for the movie canon and not the games canon, unless Nintendo decides to implant some things from the movies, I say leave them as such

If we aren't tagging Princess Peach and Princess Daisy as cousins because of that one second-party game manual from decades ago, I see no reason to tag non-movie related images of Rosalina and Princess Peach as sisters. Like there's no reason post #2862279 should be tagged as sisters, and we really don't want to have to start tagging pictures like post #1967994 as incest.

Hard agree with the idea of this tagging clause. As someone who has no interest in the movies, I really don't want to see them tagged as sisters outside of that specific context. Especially in the case of decades old images where the artist had obviously no intention of drawing them as related.

I assume since most of us here are in agreement, I can safely start gardening any mistagged posts I find, right?

The same user is also tagging everything with Rosalina and Luma with mother_and_child. Is this something people actually want to see in their results?

I know I sure as hell don't.

That would be adoptive parent and adoptive child if anything. And even then I'd dispute it; it's more like she's running an orphanage.
