Artists Joizer/Joruze have been incorrectly merged?

Posted under Tags

artist #330666 seems to be an incorrect merging of artist `Joizer` with artist `Joruze`. The two accounts have separate links and do not refer to each other, and both accounts are actively posting (as of March 2026).
Does anyone have any information as to why these two artists were merged?

Same artist. Easy mistake, but please go to topic #7713 with these questions in the future.

I think it's fine to make new threads for questions like these. The solution for this case was simple, but a more complex case could end up turning into a multi-page long discussion, and it would be less disruptive to both the conversation and the request thread to keep them separate.

I have a new case I have found that I am also not sure about: artist #170499

The circle `degicat` has URL https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/circle/profile/=/maker_id/RG42271.html but this is not listed under the artist above (a separate DLSite is listed), and I cannot find any information that artist `myurumake` past name was `degicat` whether searching through Saucenao or other (other names came up like `びりてぃ` `みる右` `ポテトテポト` but I was not able to find `デジキャット`).

Even in 2020 the pixiv was myurumake, see Title metadata for https://web.archive.org/web/20201112010803/https://www.pixiv.net/users/23191590

Where did the name 'degicat' appear from and why is it the main name on this artist instead of their current name?

If you look at the artist entry's history, you'll find your answer - when the entry was made in 2018, that's the name the artist used, デジキャット, with their Pixiv stacc being dicat902 and Twitter handle being degicat, the basis for the tag name. By 2020, however, they had transitioned to their current name of みゅるめーく, with the Twitter handle being first changed to myurumeku and then to myurumake which it still is today. The fact that the Twitter intent link listed in their artist entry remained unchanged for the past eight years indicates that all they've done is change their Twitter handle, not their Twitter account, pointing to continuity from degicat to myurumake.

As for your second question, that's obviously because no one has bothered to change it to their current name.

Thank you.
The art style from the DLsite circle I included does not seem to line up with this artist's 2D or 3D works. Is it possible that a new group has taken on the name `degicat`? Or is it a case of artist revising their style? (I can only find works from 2018 under degicat name on DLsite, but I think I may be region-restricted for full list of works).
